At Misirli, we are very excited to see the new Barbie film coming out later this year. We are proud license holders for Barbie, allowing us to create designs for this incredible enterprise. As they are within our licencing portfolio we thought we would tell you everything we know about the new film:

WHO IS DIRECTING BARBIE?

Greta Gerwig, the writer Oscar-nominated director of Lady Bird and 2019’s celebrated Little Women remake, signed on to write the Barbie movie in 2019 along with her partner, Marriage Story writer-director Noah Baumbach. In July of last year, however, Variety confirmed that Gerwig would also be directing the film.

WHO’S IN IT?

Margot Robbie, best known for her role in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and for playing Harley Quinn in three DC superhero movies, signed on to play the title role way back in July 2019. Robbie is also producing the film through her production company LuckyChap Entertainment, with Mattel Films and HeyDay Films co-producing.

For a while, Robbie was the only star confirmed for the movie, but what would Barbie be without Ken? In October 2021, Ryan Gosling was announced as the live-action Ken opposite Robbie. Gosling has previously starred in films like Blade Runner 2049 and Drive, he’s also done films like La La Land and Crazy Stupid Love.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

There is not much known about the plot however Robbie did state in an interview in 2021 that “People generally hear Barbie and think, I know what that movie is going to be, and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t…’”

WHEN DOES BARBIE COME OUT?

Barbie is set for a theatrical release next summer, when it will premiere on July 21st, 2023.

Are You Ready For Puss In Boots?

Puss in Boots, the beloved feline character from the Shrek franchise, is back in his very own film, “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.” This highly-anticipated animated film is the latest instalment in the Puss in Boots series and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. As Universal Pictures is within our licensing portfolio we thought we would tell you everything we know about it…

The plot of “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” centres around Puss as he sets out on a new adventure to find the legendary “Last Wish” – a powerful and magical object that can grant any wish. Puss is joined on his quest by his trusty sidekick, Kitty Softpaws, and together they must outwit the notorious criminal mastermind, Humpty Dumpty.

The film’s animation is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and fluid movements that bring the characters to life in a way that is truly mesmerising. Puss and Kitty are animated in a way that is both realistic and stylised, making them both relatable and lovable. The film’s backgrounds and landscapes are equally breathtaking, with lush forests, towering mountains and bustling cities that are sure to leave viewers in awe.

One of the things that sets “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” apart from other animated films is its use of humour. The film is filled with clever jokes and puns that will have both children and adults laughing out loud. The Mandalorian Season 3: A Glimpse into the Exciting Future of the Star Wars Universe

The new trailer for the third season of the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian has finally dropped, and fans are ecstatic. The trailer gave us a glimpse into what’s to come for our favourite bounty hunter and his young companion, Grogu (formerly known as Baby Yoda). As both Disney and Star Wars are within our licencing portfolio, we thought we would tell you about everything we know so far…

The trailer opens with an apparent showdown between two groups of Mandalorians. We see Din Djarin/Mando emerge from the shadows to stand alongside some like-minded Mandalorians, and the way the footage is edited seems to imply they’re at odds with the other gang we see.

Moments later, we see Din and Grogu returning to Nevarro to reunite with Greef Karga, who appears to be the new leader of this world’s main city.

It seems Nevarro has become a safe haven for all manner of people and creatures. At the 0:30 mark, we see a Kowakian monkey-lizard, a semi-sentient reptilian race that is often sold on the black market as pets to members of the criminal underworld. Seeing as this Kowakian is hanging out in a tree all by itself, it’s not owned by anyone, meaning it’s free to, well, do what Kowakians do. If you’re trying to remember where you’ve seen a Kowakian before, Jabba the Hutt owned one in the original Star Wars trilogy.

The official trailer is packed with Star Wars Easter eggs – and that includes the droids that appear in it.

First, you can catch a glimpse of an R5-D4 droid in Mando’s remodelled Naboo Starfighter. Din and Grogu are seen departing Peli Motto’s starship workshop, so it seems she’s the one who mends this R5-D4 droid and programs it to co-pilot Din’s ship. There are some B1 battle droids from the prequel trilogy, an R2-D2-like astromech droid, an RA-7 Death Star Droid, and a bunch of others. We know Mando wasn’t keen on droids for a long time, so seeing him have a conversation with its bartender and other droids is sure to make for some amusing content.

It also appears that Din has taken it upon himself to train Grogu, too. The trailer’s final shot shows Grogu taking down an unidentifiable enemy after Grogu emerges from a cave system. However, if you look behind the monster before it drops down in front of Grogu, you’ll see what appears to be Din leaning against a rock formation.

Overall, the trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian has fans on the edge of their seats with anticipation. The series has consistently delivered high-quality action and storytelling, and this season looks to be no different. With an all-star cast, stunning visuals, and a deeper dive into the Star Wars lore, the third season of The Mandalorian is shaping up to be a must-watch event.

The series is set to release on March 1st on Disney+.

Celebrating 100 Years of Disney

Disney has been around for 100 years and as they are within our licencing portfolio, we’re celebrating it with a fun look back at the history of Disney.

We’ll be taking you on a tour of the company’s history, from its humble beginnings as an animation studio in Los Angeles to its current status as one of the most influential media companies in existence. We’ll also take a look at some fun facts about Disney’s past, like:

– The Mickey Mouse Club used to be an actual club where kids could meet their favourite Mouseketeers!

– The first theme park opened in 1955 at Disneyland, but it wasn’t until 1971 that Epcot was opened in Florida.

– The first animated feature film was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which premiered in 1937!

After Walt Disney’s death in 1966, his brother Roy took over the company. Roy’s vision was to expand the company’s reach beyond their animation studios, so he began building theme parks around the world.

The next year, Disney began to expand their theme park business with the opening of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It was quickly followed by Disneyland Paris (1992), Tokyo Disneyland (1983) and Hong Kong Disneyland (2005).

In 1984, Michael Eisner was hired as CEO and began to implement his vision for the company. Eisner wanted to expand the company’s reach into television, feature films, and theme parks.

Under Eisner’s leadership, Disney acquired Capital Cities/ABC in 1995 and unveiled a new logo in 1997. The following year, Disney purchased Miramax Films and created the Buena Vista Home Entertainment label (later renamed Walt Disney Home Entertainment). In 1999, Disney purchased Pixar Animation Studios.

In 1989, The Lion King hit cinemas and became one of the highest-grossing films of all time. It won two Oscars®, including Best Original Musical or Comedy Score and Best Original Song (“Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”).

In 1994, Walt Disney Pictures released Pocahontas, which became a major box office success. The film has been nominated for two Oscars® and won an Academy Award® for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score by Alan Menken (who also worked on Beauty and The Beast).

In 1998, Walt Disney Pictures released Mulan, another box office success that was nominated for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score by David Zippel.

In 2001, Disney Parks & Resorts launched a multi-billion dollar expansion of its Florida resort with two new parks: Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, a luxury hotel and major renovation projects at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot Center.

In 2003, Bob Iger replaced Eisner as CEO; Iger has been responsible for over $40 billion in acquisitions since taking over as chief executive officer from Eisner in 2005—including Pixar Animation Studios (2006), Marvel Entertainment (2009), Lucasfilm Ltd. (2012), 21st Century Fox (2019) – including all 20th Century Fox film assets except news.

The Walt Disney Company concluded 2019 with several major additions, starting with the acquisition of 20th Century Fox in March, and then the remarkable launch of Disney+ in November. Disney+, which, together with ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ Hotstar, delivers the Company’s iconic brands and incredible stories directly to consumers, gave us new movies and streaming series such as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, a new retelling of Lady and the Tramp, The Simpsons, The Imagineering Story and, of course, The Mandalorian.

The Walt Disney Studios had a hugely successful year, releasing notable titles including Aladdin, The Lion King, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2. Marvel Studios released Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, which was the climactic finale to the Studios’ remarkable first 10 years of cinematic adventure. And Lucasfilm concluded the Skywalker saga with the epic Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, with a lavish Hollywood premiere and rollout in December.

In 2020 Disney delivered more beloved films and TV series from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, 20th Century Studios and National Geographic, Disney+ delivered scores of new entertainment to viewers around the world. Including Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made, Stargirl, Prop Culture, Artemis Fowl, Broadway’s Hamilton, the live-action Mulan and Pixar’s wondrous Soul.

Bob Chapek was named Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company in February of 2020, with former CEO and Chairman Bob Iger assuming the role of Executive Chairman.

Early in 2021, two Disney+ series from Marvel Studios became instant hits—WandaVision, which debuted in January, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, in March. Also in March, the animated Raya and the Last Dragon premiered to rave reviews. After more than a year of closure due to the pandemic, Disneyland Park welcomed guests back to Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom on April 30th, before Avengers Campus officially opened its gates at Disney California Adventure on June 4th. The Walt Disney World Resort also prepared in earnest for its 50th anniversary festivities, kicking off The World’s Most Magical Celebration on October 1st, 2021. Featuring the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT, and the debut of several new entertainment offerings, including Harmonious, also at EPCOT, and Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park, the 18th month celebration will welcome guests from across the globe to help celebrate this momentous milestone.

In 2022, more fantastic shows were released to both Disney+ and in cinemas like the critically acclaimed Turning Red, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, Lightyear, Thor: Love and Thunder, Spiderman: No Way Home and the long awaited incredible Avatar: The Way Of Water.

For a century, The Walt Disney Company has created entertainment of the very highest quality. Sonic Prime Netflix Series News, Trailers and Release Date

Sonic the Hedgehog already had a huge year in 2022, with a live-action sequel film and the huge open-world game: Sonic Frontiers. In addition to all that, the speedy blue hedgehog got an entirely new 3D animated Netflix series in mid-December. As Sonic is within our licensing portfolio, we thought we would tell you about this great new series that you may have missed:

Sonic Prime release date:

The series debuted on Netflix on Thursday 15th December 2022 with eight episodes in total.

The show will allegedly have 24 episodes in total, split across three seasons – should it return for more.

Sonic Prime cast:

Sonic Prime now has an official cast list. Deven Mack is stepping into the lead role of Sonic, and his trusty sidekick Tails will be voiced by Ashleigh Ball. Amy will be played by Shannon Chan-Kent, and Knuckles will be voiced by Adam Narada.

Also in the cast is Brian Drummond as Eggman, Vincent Tong as Shadow and Kazumi Evans as Rouge.

How to Watch PAW Patrol: The Movie?

They’re small. They’re fuzzy. They’re the only thing stopping Adventure City from falling into total chaos. They’re PAW Patrol!

The series follows a group of dogs, each of which has specific skills as an aviation pilot, firefighter, and more. They hit the town in their “pupmobiles” to go on various missions. Whenever someone yelps for help, you can be certain Ryder and the gang will be there to lend a paw.

With such a massive audience, it should come as no surprise that the pups in uniform already have a hit on the big screen. “PAW Patrol: The Movie” is part of Paramount and released in late 2021. What’s the plot of PAW Patrol: The Movie?

The official synopsis for the movie listed on IMDb goes as follows: “Ryder and the pups are called to Adventure City to stop Mayor Humdinger from turning the bustling metropolis into a state of chaos.” Throughout the series, Mayor Humdinger has served as the primary antagonist to the dogs, and it looks like he’s up to his old, no-good tricks in their feature film debut.

Who’s in the cast for PAW Patrol: The Movie?

The voice cast for “PAW Patrol: The Movie” includes the main voice actors from the television series, including Beckett Hipkiss as Ryder, Lilly Bartlam as Skye, Kingsley Marshall as Marshall, Shayle Simons as Zuma and Ron Pardo as Mayor Humdinger.
Kim Kardashian West will be part of the proceedings, voicing a poodle named Delores. Other famous voices you can expect to hear include Tyler Perry, Dax Shepard, Randall Park, Jimmy Kimmel, Yara Shahidi and Marsai Martin.
