As Sonic the Hedgehog is a part of our licencing portfolio, we thought we would let you know about the new game that they have set to release on November 8th, Sonic Frontiers!

Sonic Frontiers is an upcoming game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series that is set to be released during the holiday season of 2022, in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The game is being developed by the Sonic Team and will be published by Sega for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Sonic Frontiers follows Sonic the Hedgehog as he explores the mysterious Starfall Islands in order to recover the Chaos Emeralds, after being separated from Tails and Amy when falling through a wormhole.

The gameplay of Sonic Frontiers will have the players engage in the Sonic series first open world-inspired gaming experience that integrates platforming and traditional Sonic game elements into an Open Zone environment. The player solves puzzles to collect items and fights enemies with an expanded combat system, while exploring lush and expansive landscapes using Sonic’s signature speed and abilities. Sonic Frontiers began development after the release of Sonic Forces, with the intention of the Sonic Team to have Sonic Frontiers set a new template for Sonic games to follow, like Sonic Adventure. The game’s script is as well helmed by Ian Flynn, a long-time writer for several spin-offs of the Sonic series, with Sonic Frontiers marking his debut within a main series title.

Peter Rabbit Celebrates 120 Years

Peter Rabbit is turning 120 years old in 2022! Our team love Peter Rabbit and as they are within our licencing portfolio, we thought we would give you a short history of the mischievous rabbit named Peter and where the story started:

1866

Beatrix Potter is born.

Helen Beatrix is born on 28th July in Kensington, London.

1893

Peter Rabbit is first imagined by Beatrix in a letter.

Beatrix sends a picture letter to her former governess’ son Noel, which tells the story of a mischievous rabbit called Peter.

1902

The Tale of Peter Rabbit is first commercially published.

Following multiple rejections by publishers and Beatrix’s own privately printed editions, The Tale of Peter Rabbit is first officially published by Frederick Warne & Co.

1903

The first Peter Rabbit doll is created.
Beatrix makes a Peter Rabbit doll and registers it at the Patent Office, launching the first in a long line of official products!

1905

Beatrix moves to the Lake District.
Beatrix purchases Hill Top Farm, in Sawrey, near Windermere following the sudden death of her fiancé and editor Norman Warne. She wrote many of her Tales whilst living here.

1943

Beatrix dies aged 77.

Beatrix leaves all of her land to the National Trust and is survived by her husband William Heelis.

1991

World of Beatrix Potter Attraction opens in the Lake District.

A fun, family attraction bringing favourite characters to life in an enchanting recreation of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved stories.

1992

The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends launches on TV.

An animated TV series featuring Peter Rabbit and his friends.

2006

Miss Potter is released.

The legacy of Beatrix Potter, starring Renée Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, is retold for the big screen.

2012

Peter Rabbit TV series launches.

Peter and his friends hop into a new preschool show for CBeebies.

2016

The 150th birthday of Beatrix Potter.

A range of limited edition publishing and products were released to commemorate the 150th birthday of Beatrix.

2018

PETER RABBIT the movie is released.

Peter stars in his very own blockbuster movie.

2021

PETER RABBIT 2 the sequel is released.

As Pusheen is a part of our licencing portfolio we thought we would give you a little insight into who Pusheen is and the company behind it:

WHO IS PUSHEEN?

Pusheen is a tubby tabby cat who brings smiles and laughter to people all around the world. She became famous through her animated comics and GIFs posted on Pusheen.com, as well as through her widely used animated stickers on Facebook, Instagram, iMessage, and other platforms.

ABOUT PUSHEEN CORP.

Pusheen Corp. is an Illinois-based company dedicated to bringing smiles to the faces of fans around the world. Founded in 2010, Pusheen Corp. develops Pusheen content and products, working with more than 100 licensees globally. Pusheen herself made her first appearance online in a 2010 short series of comics by Creator/Founder Claire Belton written together with Co-Founder, Andrew Duff. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back! After 2018’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series on Nickelodeon, the turtles return in this continuation of the series finale.

The movie will feature a battle against the series-regular evil aliens the Krang, and the return of another series-regular face that many fans will be excited to see appear. The film will serve as a follow-up to the Nickelodeon animated series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The show ran from July 20th 2018, until August 7th 2020. Here’s everything we know about the movie;

When Is the Release Date of Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie?

It’s out now! Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie was released on the streaming platform Netflix on August 5th 2022. Netflix announced its involvement in the project in February 2019. There are currently no signs of a theatrical release for the film. Production for the film was completed on April 7th 2022. The film originally had an earlier release date of August 27th 2021.

Who Are the Cast and Confirmed Characters of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie?

The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series was praised for its strong voice acting. Luckily for fans, much of the cast will be reprising their roles for the film.

Ben Schwartz plays Leonardo, Omar Benson Miller plays Raphael, Brandon Mychal Smith plays Michelangelo, and Josh Brener plays Donatello. The supporting cast is returning as well, Eric Bauza will return as the mutated rat Splinter. Kat Graham provides the voice of April O’Neil. Haley Joel Osment will voice to Casey Jones.

Who Is Making Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie?

More familiar faces from the television series join the production of the film. Ant Ward and Andy Suriano will be continuing the work from the television series and directing the film. The film will be produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Nickelodeon Animation Studio, and distributed by Netflix. Matt Mahaffey composed the score for the movie. He also worked on the television series and has written the music for a number of Nickelodeon’s other shows.
